Frequently asked questions

What is the NeuroSeed Foundation?

The NeuroSeed Foundation, based in New York, is a passionate student-led organization committed to demystifying neuroscience for young people. We believe in fostering a deeper understanding of the brain and neurological conditions, empowering the youth to explore its wonders. Through dedicated advocacy, collaborative projects, and hands-on opportunities, we aim to build a well-informed public and inspire future scientists and advocates.

How can I join?

Stay connected with us on our social platforms to be informed of our opportunities and events. We offer other exciting roles year-round. Head on over to the 'Get Involved' tab and apply to be a general member or start your own NeuroSeed chapter in your local area/school!

What is a general member?

General members are registered as official members of NeuroSeed. General members receive several benefits that a non-general member wouldn't, which include but are not limited to earning volunteer hours, having the opportunity to submit research papers, early access to events (webinars, signups for workshops, limited capacity events, etc.), participating in competitions, becoming a priority applicant for leadership opportunities, and so much more!

How can I start my own chapter?

The link to the application form for chapters can be found under the 'Get Involved' tab. We have 2 rounds of chapter applications per year. Applications are opened from June-September and November-January.

How can I earn volunteer hours?

To begin earning volunteer hours, you must be an official general member! All volunteer hours should be recorded into our Voluntime. We offer a variety of opportunities for you to earn volunteer hours which can be found here: NeuroSeed Foundation General Member Opportunities and Guidelines - Google Docs
